About this place
After tasting coffees from Congo, the Dominican Republic and El Salvador side by side, one visitor said the differences between them became clear. The Coffee Flight at alt. coffee roasters pairs 3 single-origin pour-overs. If you would rather settle on one cup, the hand-drip coffee can also be made with an origin of your choice. It is a useful choice whether you want to compare several coffees at once or pick a bean that has caught your eye.
For something a little different, try espresso mixed with lemonade. The menu describes it as an original drink combining coffee with house-made juice; one visitor enjoyed the way the refreshing lemonade met the espresso’s rich flavour. They paired it with an almond cookie shaped like a cat. Vegan cakes and Kyoto Tofu Donuts are also available; the doughnuts are made without milk, eggs, wheat or white sugar.
For a light bite, falafel—Middle Eastern-style croquettes made with chickpeas and vegetables—is 600 yen. An open sandwich with falafel and seasonal vegetables is 850 yen, as is a vegan hot dog with house-made sausages made from beans and konjac. Alongside coffee and cake, these plant-based options make it possible to put together a more substantial snack.
Dine-in is available. A visitor’s account describes the 1 floor as a compact space, mainly furnished with high tables and stools. It may be best to plan for a stop focused on the coffee selection or a small meal rather than a long, leisurely sit-down.
